I have worked for the primary care hub since 2022, where I started as a part-time receptionist around my A-Levels. Since then, I had the opportunity to take on more reception hours to help with maternity cover, which allowed me to gain more experience with responsibilities such as helping to organise the LARC services and occasionally helping with secretarial tasks. During this time, I worked on reception at Hedge End Medical Centre for a year alongside my role at the primary care hub, which enabled me to better understand the demands of general practice and work amongst a large team, which I really enjoyed. In February 2024, I started my new role as a Mental Health Administrator within the Wellbeing Team and am now employed by Southern Health. This has given me the opportunity to work within the mental health field, which I have been interested in for some time. I often work on reception and as admin support for the COVID vaccination clinics during my weekends.
